Today was a very special day for Alastrean resident Isobel Whitehead as she turned 100 years old. Isobel celebrated in style with gifts, cards, flowers, balloons and a stunning cake.

Isobel knows Alastrean well as she and her husband, Harry, stayed there before it was a care home when it was owned by the RAF. Born in Aberdeen in 1921, Isobel worked at the Ministry of Food in the Granite City in the 1940s. She married Harry in 1942 and had two sons, Alastair and Fraser. Isobel now has four grand-children and a great-grand-daughter.

From everyone at Balhousie, Happy Birthday, Isobel!
