The team a Balhousie Alastrean are participating in a 24-hour cycle to raise money for the residents’ comfort fund.
Not prepared to let the current social restrictions stop them fundraising, manager Lori and her team of Everyday Heroes came up with a safe way to do some fundraising – and have some fun at the same time. They hope to potentially buy a projector for movie days and couple of sound systems for the residents to enjoy with the money raised.
Following some suggestions from residents, the staff decided on a 24-hour cycle on an in-house exercise bike. Volunteering staff will each cycle for an allotted time over the 24 hours.
The cycle will begin on May 12th at midnight and finish the following evening, May 13th at midnight and the event will be broadcast on Facebook Live on Alastrean’s family page.
Good luck, Team Alastrean! The team are aiming to raise £500. If anyone would like to make a donation, click here.
