Back in the Autumn we sent out a survey, asking for opinions on rebranding Balhousie after 30 years. We had a great, positive and constructive response.

Now we have our new logo, and values, and colours. At last, we’re all set to become BCG!

Over the next weeks and months, we’ll be transitioning to our new name and our new logo – chosen because it illustrates ‘home’, which beyond everything else, is the most important thing we provide.

Our strapline focusses on CARE, around which the four pillars of our new values are built.

We’re ready to launch our new brand into the world.

We know there’ll be some questions you might want to ask about what this all means, so below are some frequently asked questions (FAQs) to give you some quick answers.
But if you have any other questions, please do ask on enquiries@balhousiecare.co.uk – or you can always ask your Home Manager too.

What does rebranding mean?
It means giving us a new look; a freshen up.

Why are we rebranding?
Balhousie Care Group launched over 30 years ago. Since then the world has changed, and the care sector too. We have new teams, new management, and new ownership. It’s about time we have a bit of a spruce up!

What’s changed?

  • The first big change is the name.
We have become BCG (the leading letters of Balhousie Care Group). We’re just making it less of a mouthful, a bit snappier, and easy to use.
  • Together, through the survey, we’ve created our new Values.
Spelling the word CARE, the values are what we aspire to, a more meaningful connection to what our teams, working across BCG, dedicate themselves to every single day.
  • Compassionate, Accountable, Respectful and Everyone counts.
Theses are the four pillars of BCG’s new Brand Values. Each value also promotes specific areas to consider, representing this aspect of the care-giver, and stands for how the teams of BCG want to live their lives and care for their residents and each other. See our full new Values HERE.
  • We’ve also changed our company colours
Again, through the survey, starting from the basis of teal green in the logo, from the most popular survey choices, we’ve brought together our own colour palette to ring the changes for how we look in designed items.

Does rebranding mean we have new ownership?
No. Nothing has changed there. We are still owned by AcalisCare.

What difference does it make to our residents and their families?
No difference at all. Balhousie Care Group are our parent company. We’re only changing how we look.

Do I need to do anything?
No, not at all.

Will everything have a branding change all at once?
No. The rebrand process will transition gradually, beginning with announcing the new name, the new logo and our Values, rolling out digitally and physically across our screens and printed material. It will then be followed by the launch of our new website in the summer, and finally, larger aspects including signage, will follow later.

When will the website be ready?
The website is expected to be ready in July – and it will have a new name: bcgcares.co.uk.

Is anything else going to change, besides rebranding?
No. Once the website is in place, we will have new email addresses with our new domain name – bcgcares.co.uk – but that’s all part of the rebrand.

What are all the different logos for?
We have times we want to ring the changes and highlight things that matter to us. So, we have special variants of our logo to use digitally, to celebrate those:

  • Pride Month in June.
  • Dementia Awareness Month in September.
  • Black History Month in October.
  • Christmas in December.

Who can I ask questions about this?
Please email enquiries@balhousiecare.co.uk if you have any queries, we’ll be happy to help.
