Balhousie Care Group Chairman nominated for Business Man of the Year

Tony Banks, Chairman of Balhousie Care Group, has been nominated as Business Man of the Year after a public vote.

Mr Banks, founder of the 25-strong care home group, is a finalist in the Scottish SME Business Awards following a social media campaign by the award organisers which attracted thousands of nominations from the public.

Mr Banks built up Balhousie Care Group from scratch to become a leading and innovative care home provider in Scotland and holder of numerous national awards. These currently include Service Business of the Year, and a National Care Award and RCNi Leadership Award for its dementia practices.

The nominations will now be assessed by an independent panel. The awards ceremony takes place in Glasgow on May 8, 2019.
