The award-winning care home group, with 25 care homes across north and central Scotland, marked the occasion with an endorsement from multi-award-winning businessman Bob Keiller, Chairman of Scottish Enterprise and TED speaker, who was present at the launch on Thursday at Cineworld Cinema in Dundee.

Speaking to more than 150 assembled staff members, from home managers to domestic and nursing staff, Chairman and Balhousie Care Group founder Tony Banks said the values captured the true essence of an organisation which “puts people at the core of what we do”.

Tony Banks said:

“Saying that people are the core of a customer-oriented service may sound obvious, but there’s no other way of describing Balhousie Care Group. Our strength really is in numbers – the number of excellent staff we have, from homes right up to head office, and the number of residents and family members who contribute to how we operate.

He added: “Our core values are an obvious next step following the tremendous success of our Together We’re Great initiative and our Participation Charter. The past 12 months, our 25th year, has been a remarkable period with a string of awards and some top ratings from the Care Inspectorate. It’s extremely rewarding to see our new vision put into action, and I can’t wait to see what’s around the corner.”

The four core values are: inspiring, passionate, trusted and responsive. They have been launched as a result of extensive consultation with members of staff. These included brand and values workshops, managers’ conferences and staff satisfaction surveys.
