Balhousie Care Group has made interest-free loans available for staff who are financially affected by the Coronavirus Crisis.

The award-winning care home group has made a fund of £200,000 available to staff to assist in bridging financial hardship that may arise because of them or their partners self-isolating, or if a partner’s job is in jeopardy as a result of businesses closing.

The programme, which makes up to £200 available for each employee, was announced last week together with a new dedicated staff smartphone app and a thank-you from Group CEO Jill Kerr for their hard work.

Jill said: “You all continue to show dedication and commitment to your residents and each other during these testing times, and as an employer we thank you sincerely. We hope that by launching this programme, it helps lessen the burden of financial worry many of you may be experiencing.”

The employee app, developed in a record 10 days by Balhousie Care’s in-house IT team, gives the group’s 1400 staff immediate and on-the-go access to company news, tips and guidelines, particularly surrounding Coronavirus.
