Balhousie Care Group has scooped an award celebrating the company’s growth at the Perthshire Chamber of Commerce Business Star Awards. The awards recognise the best local businesses across a variety of sectors who have helped to keep Perthshire at the forefront of Scottish business.

The company, one of the leading providers of residential care in Scotland, picked up the Johnston Carmichael Accountants Business Growth Award at the black-tie awards ceremony at Crieff Hydro last Friday. The award recognised businesses demonstrating strong business initiatives and sustained growth.

This latest accolade comes at an exciting time for Balhousie Care Group with a trio of wins at the Scottish Care Awards at the Hilton Hotel in Glasgow on November 15th and another award for Business Growth at the prestigious Courier Business Awards in October.

Ben Haddow, the Head Chef from Balhousie Luncarty care home, who was also a finalist in the Blackadders Employee of the Year category at the Business Star Awards, picked up the Emerging Talent award at the Scottish Care Awards. Lavinia Tanu, a Carer from Balhousie Pitlochry care home, scooped Carer of the Year and Yvonne Manson, Operations Dementia Manager, won the Management and Leadership award.

Jill Kerr, Group CEO at Balhousie Care Group, said:

“We are delighted to have been recognised at the Perthshire Chamber of Commerce Business Star awards for our growth as a business. The past year has been a very exciting time for Balhousie Care Group with significant investment across the business such as our beautiful new development, Milton Mews in Huntly, which is part of our drive to provide independent living options to our aging population. We have more exciting new plans in store over the next 12 months and look forward to sharing those plans as well as continuing to deliver great care.”
