MEDIA RELEASE: 26 June 2024

BCG showed its support for the LGBT community in Scotland by attending Dundee Pride – raising vital funds for charity in the process.

As part of its commitment to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion, the leading care provider held a stall at the event on Saturday, 15 June.

Team members from across the company joined the celebration in the City of Discovery, showcasing the company’s mission to promote inclusivity, with plenty of goodies to give away and, of course, sweets and chocolate on offer.

A tombola was also held to raise money for LGBT Youth, Scotland’s national charity for LGBTQ+ young people, aged 13-25, supporting young people in all aspects of their lives through the provision of youth work, and supporting them to use their voice to create change in equality and human rights. The BCG team raised £148.53.

Karen Johnson, Managing Director, said: “We were delighted to once again attend this wonderful event. It was fantastic to see so many friendly faces and have so many people stop by our stall.

“Community events like Dundee Pride are very important to BCG. As an employer of around 1,400 people across central and East Scotland, it is vital that every single member of the team feels their voice is valued and represented.

“It was also a pleasure to do our bit for LGBT Youth Scotland, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who chipped in to help us raise money for the charity’s crucial work across the country.

“Our commitment to true equality and inclusivity is unwavering, and we will always do our utmost to represent everyone equally and proudly.”
