The staff and residents at Balhousie Brookfield have thrown a birthday party for one very special resident. Today is Penny the cockerspaniel’s 10th birthday!
Penny became an honorary resident at the Carnoustie care home last year when she was orphaned after her owner – who kept Penny at the home – passed away. When no family members came forward to take care of her, a vote was put out to staff and residents to see if they wanted to adopt her. The unanimous response was for Penny to stay.
Penny has settled in wonderfully at the home. She is loved by everyone and even has own care plan!
The home was only to happy to throw their four-legged resident a birthday party where the beloved pooch received presents from the home and the community n Carnoustie. Happy Birthday, Penny!
