Brookfield, one of our care homes in Carnoustie, had the pleasure of hosting pupils and staff from Carlogie Primary School last week.
The children arrived with gifts they’d bought from profits made by their Fairlogie Cafe. They have been very industrious. This year, they decided to go for their Social Enterprise School Award.
This award empowers young people to set up, run their their own social enterprise and help make a difference for a cause they’re passionate about. In this case, their local care home.
Intergenerational activities are always popular for everyone at BCG – they bring benefits to us all: our residents and the children, and our staff teams love them too.
Carlogie Primary School also support a number of local businesses including Franco’s Cafe, Baked House, JM Bakers and Monkey Makes to name a few.
Our residents loved meeting and chatting with all the pupils, who were a credit to their teachers and parents.
We are very grateful for the gifts and will be enjoying them for years to come.
