Monkbarns residents had great fun and laughter this week having a go at ‘woggle tennis’; batting the balloon with foam water noodles.  Everyone found the exercise a real hoot as care staff and residents embraced the challenge with good humour and gusto.  Eighty-two year young Millie especially enjoyed this fun and physical activity, batting everything and everyone with the foam noodle that got in her way.  What an inspiration she is!

Here at Monkbarns care home, we understand the importance of regular mobilisation and stimulation for residents throughout day to day life.  Activities such as ‘woggle tennis’ not only promotes both physical and mental stimulation, but it’s also a very fun activity which encourages everyone to let their hair down a little and have a hearty laugh with each other.  After all, laughter is the best medicine.

What a great way to start the day!
