Balhousie Coupar Angus residents have been taking their daily activities to a new level – by taking part in a local exercise challenge.
They took part of Perth and Kinross Council’s Go4Gold challenge, an annual event that brings together residents from care homes across the region for a series of fun activities.
The event comes hot on the heels of the home’s Olympics celebration and torch lighting – proving that our Coupar Angus residents and staff are not ones for sitting still.
Their team was called The Flower Pot Family, a nod to the home’s recent success in Balhousie in Bloom, Balhousie Care Group’s group-wide gardening competition which saw the Coupar Angus home make the finals in the Community Engagement category. Staff and community members worked hard to upcycle jeans, boots, walking frames and even a fireplace surround into planters for its gardens.
