Dundee football star Kerr Waddell made a special trip to Arbroath this month to visit our residents here at Monkbarns care home.

Kerr’s sister Katy, who has worked on the front line of care at Monkbarns home since 2011, arranged for Kerr to come to the care home and meet some of his biggest supporters.  As Katy is so passionate about her role in delivering person-centred care, she knows how much Kerr’s visit would mean to many of our residents.  Bob in particular was over the moon to meet his young hero and to be presented with a signed Dundee football shirt.

What a wonderful example of our youths showing heartfelt respect and dignity to their elders.  Bob hasn’t stopped smiling since!
