Today is Fiona’s first day in her new role as Kitchen Assistant at Balhousie Dalaglar in Crieff, thanks to the Employability team at Perth and Kinross Council.
Contacting the Perthshire care home, the Employment Support team introduced Fiona, who had recently been made redundant.
Perth and Kinross Employability engage with over 100 local employers throughout the council region. They currently support over 130 people facing additional barriers to work, with their employability goals.
Chef, Kelly McCafferty – whom Fiona will be assisting at mealtimes – will be providing support, along with assistance from Fiona’s support worker on the employability team, Kacey.
