On Thursday, Balhousie Huntly Care Home is hosting a Purple Tea Party to raise awareness for Dementia. Five of the ladies enjoyed arranging flowers into vases and jars to display on the tables on Thursday.

Flower arranging is an excellent activity for the elderly, including those with dementia. It can be done sitting or standing and from a wheelchair. It is a simple activity with no rights or wrongs and provides cognitive and sensory stimulation. It can also help improve motor skills and provides individuals with a sense of accomplishment.
