2020 will go down as the year of the rainbow – a symbol of hope and kindness during a difficult year. So it was fitting that pupils at Moncreiffe Primary School in Perth rounded off the year with rainbow-themed messages sent to a local care home.
The heart-shaped notes from Moncreiffe pupils to residents of Balhousie Luncarty care home included messages such as “When it rains look for rainbows”, “When it’s dark look for stars” and “Life is one big puzzle but we can solve it together”. Demonstrating Balhousie Care Group’s strong intergenerational ties with local schools, the messages were very well received, particularly from resident John Simpson (pictured right) whose daughter works at the school.
