Many of our residents at Monkbarns are keen gardeners, and with summer just around the corner they wanted to get their gardening preparations under way.

Bob, Giesla, Sheana and Maud decided to try something new as they chose to plant up some home grown lettuce.  Helen, Menary and Cathy chose to sew basil, peppers, tomatoes and wild flowers from a selection of seedlings on offer.

Inspired by the others, Gordon and Bill joined the rest of the team in potting up the larger tomato plants, commenting on what an enjoyable indoor gardening session it was.

Residents are really proud of their work and can’t wait to share the fruits of their labour with the wider team as their seedlings bloom and grow.
