A Tayside musician sang for residents at an Arbroath care home this afternoon in a live ‘gig in the garden’.

Performing at Balhousie Antiquary care home, local singer and guitarist Paul Sullivan has been a regular at care homes in recent weeks performing an array of hits from a socially safe distance and giving staff and residents a musical boost.

All Paul asks for in return is a donation to a charity of his choice for the performance. His selfless garden concerts are proving hugely popular with staff and residents and he has become known as a bit of a ‘local hero’ for his acts of kindness.

Cheryl Roy, Home Manager at Balhousie Antiquary care home, said:

“It is fantastic that our residents and staff can still enjoy live music in the comfort of our home in such difficult circumstances. We are delighted to have welcomed Paul to perform and everyone loved singing along and having a dance. We’d like to thank him for coming along and playing for us – it’s hugely appreciated.”

Here’s a few videos of residents and staff enjoying the gig as well as a gallery of photos.
