Pure Joy at Balhousie Huntly

When a young lady visited Balhousie Huntly care home in Aberdeenshire this week, she sprinkled her unique brand of joyful magic dust all around.

But this was a very special young lady, and well, she was just one year old. Activities Coordinator, Vicky Wink took her gorgeous daughter Everleigh into her work to say her baby ‘hello’ to all the residents and give out special cuddles.

It’s well studied now that there are great benefits for both children and elderly residents through intergenerational get-togethers: by engaging with little ones, residents engage with each other more too, and in creating social activity, it brings mental stimulation too. And, of course the little ones get loads of attention from the residents, which can’t be a bad thing!

Looking a these photos, we think Everleigh may just have the magical Midas touch where smiles are concerned!
