Yesterday, staff and residents at Balhousie Antiquary were moved by a lovely letter and paintings handed in by a young boy and his mum from the local Arbroath community.

Brandyn and his mum, Pauline, left the paintings at the home’s front door with a letter explaining that Brandyn wanted to paint rainbows for each of the staff and residents to display on the home’s windows to “spread positivity and love” and to let residents know that they are thinking about them.

Brandyn’s lovely gesture coinciding with many residents painting rainbows yesterday, like Brandyn, to let everyone outside know they are all safe and well. Residents were also making Easter bonnets, painting signs and flower decorating during a day of arts and crafts.

Brandyn’s colourful pictures will be added to the collections!
