Bob is a resident at Balhousie Monkbarns care home in Arbroath. He loves to help around the home – no job is too big or too small.
Bob will go around all the units after meals to wash up the dishes and stack them onto the trolley for the kitchen staff to take to the dish washer, as well as feeding the fish and cleaning out the fish tank.
He used to cut the grass at Balhousie Monkbarns before becoming a resident and is keen to keep his hand in on the gardening side. So Care Home manager Claire and Activities Coordinator Shirley came up with the idea of doing a risk assessment for Bob to paint the garden furniture. They also recognised him for is efforts by making up a badge for him which reads ‘Bob the Odd Job Man’.
Bob was over the moon when he was presented with his badge and was showing everyone what he had received. He now wears his badge on a daily basis and is proud to show and tell everyone all about his badge.
Nice work Bob!
