Our very own dementia cat toy – donated from a past resident’s sister – was such a hit that we decided to fundraise for a dementia dog. A whopping £386 was raised by holding a northern soul/motown night in the Legion in Arbroath. Well done everyone!

Our activity coordinator Shirely, care assistant Fiona, and Fiona’s daughter Kira – visitng for Bring Your Child to Work Day – went round all the residents wit both the toy cat and the dog. It sparked plenty of conversations, and lots of fun and laughter. Our residents can’t get enough of these pets.

Cathy picked a name out of the hat for the cat, who was named Meena. Helen picked out the winning name of Robbie for the dog. Thanks again to everyone who took part!
