Creative residents from Balhousie Monkbarns’ Seaview Lounge have created the second in a series of poems from the care home all about Arbroath to celebrate the 700th anniversary of the Declaration of Arbroath.
Led by Activities Co-ordinator Kirsty Taylor, each of Monkbarns’ four lounges have been creating their own poem sharing their stories of their home town. The first poem has been released from the Fraser lounge, followed now by Seaview with two more to follow very soon.
This poem talks of Arbroath being a ‘Heyday Holiday Hotspot’ with the beautiful beach, sunshine, endless ice-creams, the outdoor pool and ‘The Switchies’. Read the full poem below.
