Antiquary residents Gordon, Margaret and Irene, and staff escort Aileen, got a lovely surprise when they attended the monthly Drop in Cafe at St Andrews Church.

Instead of the usual bingo and indoor putting challenge, which they enjoy immensely, they were treated to an afternoon of hand-clapping, toe-tapping music, songs, and fun with The Gallus Boys Band.

As well as music and songs, the performers regaled the audience with storie, and jokes – and an especially entertaining ‘hand-jive’ for everyone to join in with, resulting in smiles, laughter and interaction galore.

Tea, coffee and home bakes were served throughout the concert and our attending residents were delighted when the band joined them at their table during the interval for a cuppa and some great banter.

Many thanks to the Drop in Cafe organisers and The Gallus Boys Band for a wonderful afternoon.
