We are delighted to have teamed up with our friends at Macmillan Cancer Support to run a 4-day Palliative Care Train the Trainer course. We are so proud of the 18 people in our organisation who attended these sessions and who will now deliver Macmillan’s Foundations in Palliative Care Learning Resource throughout our care homes, thus enhancing the learning & development in this important service.
These fabulous individuals showed a real passion and commitment for the training they received. They were hardworking, enthusiastic, engaged and are a real credit to their care homes and Balhousie Care Group as a whole.
A special mention also goes to the training facilitators Elaine Colville and Karen Stewart who were fantastic throughout and contributed to the success of this programme. Our Chief Executive Steve White made a special visit to the training while in progress to thank the facilitators and praise our delegates for their passion and enthusiasm.
Palliative and End of Life Care is a vital component of caring for the elderly and with this training being completed so successfully we are sure to see a huge benefit to the development of our individuals, teams and of the welfare of our residents.
