Balhousie Forth View care home in Methil has welcomed a new manager, Ann Poulton.

Ann brings to the 55-bedroom home a wealth of experience in healthcare management.  She comes to the home after a long stint working in the Middle East as a Director of Nursing based in Saudi Arabia then Bahrain, where she helped open and manage new hospitals over the course of 19 years.

However, in some ways, Ann is back to her roots. Originally from Glasgow, where she trained as a General Nurse, she settled in Fife where she undertook Midwifery and newborn Intensive Care training. She worked in Forth Park Hospital for 22 years before moving to the Middle East.

“I’m thrilled to be back in Scotland and very much enjoying being part of the team at Forth View. This is a wonderful group of staff and a lovely set of residents and relatives,” she said.

Ann plans several community initiatives at the home. The first is a Christmas Carol Concert at 3.30pm on December 23. Mince pies will be served and members of the public are welcome to attend, see around the home and meet Ann.

Balhousie Forth View features 55 bedrooms, all with en-suite bedrooms, two comfortable resident lounges, two elegant dining rooms and a further two ‘day’ dining rooms.
