Dementia Awareness Week Scotland was celebrated at Balhousie Monkbarns with a BBQ in the care home garden, with entertainment from Walter. The BBQ was run by Andrew with help from staff members Fiona and Danni, and not forgetting the head barmaid Shirley!
There was entertainment in the cafe, with the bar open for anyone who wanted to have a drink, a wee dram or a refreshing soft drink. Families and friends were all welcomed, especially to have a dance!
We were also joined by Balhousie Care Group’s dementia consultant team Yvonne, Emma and Cheryl, who came along to give assistance. This included getting up and getting their dancing shoes on!
