Balhousie Care Group, one of Scotland’s leading providers of quality residential and specialist care, has been recognised for the compassionate care its people provides.

The Group, which has 25 homes across Aberdeenshire, Angus, Tayside, Fife, Perthshire and Falkirk, was awarded Most Compassionate Nationwide Care Home Group 2019 by the Scottish Enterprise Awards. Run by SME News, the awards recognise businesses and individuals whose efforts have played a prominent role in the Scottish economy and whose hard work has made them stand out from their competitors.

This award rounds off a stellar year of accolades for Balhousie Care Group, as three outstanding members of the team picked up Scottish Care Awards last month including Carer of the Year for Lavinia Tanu from Balhousie Pitlochry Care Home. Ben Haddow, Head Chef from Balhosuie Luncarty, scooped the Emerging Talent award and Yvonne Manson, Operations Dementia Manager, picked up the Management and Leadership award.

The Group also won the Growth award at The Courier Business Awards 2019, an event celebrating the very best businesses and their achievements across Tayside, Angus, Fife and Perthshire.

Jill Kerr, Group Chief Executive Officer at Balhousie Care Group, said: “We are delighted to have been recognised by SME News’ Scottish Enterprise Awards specifically for the care we provide. Across our 25 care homes there’s a reason we call our staff ‘Everyday Heroes’. This award reflects our commitment to providing the very best care in all aspects of our care provision.”
