Coupar Angus themed lunches a big hit with residents and their families

Every Tuesday, residents at Balhousie Coupar Angus care home have been enjoying special themed lunches. Alternating every week, the female residents have been enjoying special Ladies Who Lunch events while the male residents have a Pie and a Pint lunch.

Since their introduction, the themed lunches have proved a huge hit with residents and their families with many relatives coming in to enjoy the special lunches. This week, a resident enjoyed a pie and pint with his son and a couple of golfing friends.

At the Pie and Pint, staff and residents chat about the football while enjoying a cold beer. At the Ladies Who Lunch, Home Manager Claire Alexander goes along when she can to catch up with the female residents and hear about what they’ve been getting up to.

Staff have had great feedback from residents on the lunches with many enjoying the change of pace and the chance to have a chat, reminisce and invite relatives for lunch.
