On Monday 10th June, Balhousie Huntly Care Home hosted an intergenerational sports day between the Balhousie residents and the Rothiemay Playgroup children. A great day was had by all who participated.

The day began with a get together and practicing some of the afternoons races. Then we had lunch together which consisted of Potato & Leek Soup with crusty bread and then ice cream & fruit. This was also the first time we have had lunch together and it was a great success, with two of the children asking for the soup recipe as it was so tasty! At 1.30pm the sports day kicked off with the first race – the Tattie & Spoon Race. The afternoon was rounded off at 3pm with the announcement of the overall winning team who won small trophies along with a certificate & medal which all participants received.
