Residents of Balhousie Monkbarns have been enjoying watching their plants grow, after sowing seeds some months back.

Some of the residents planted flower, tomato and lettuce seeds and have been tenderly taking care of them and watching them grow. We now have lettuce that is ready to eat along with some green tomatoes which are not too far away from being ripe.

Gordon, Bob, Maud, Sheana, Helen, Iris, Ann, George and Cathy all commented on how much they enjoyed planting the tomato seeds, re-potting them into grow-bags, sowing flower seeds then planting them outside into a trough for everyone to admire from the window. They also thinned out the lettuce and transplanted them outside.

It’s safe to say they all did well and are now going to reap the rewards of their hard work. Well done everyone!
