Residents at two of our Perthshire care homes have been connecting with each other through the introduction of a ‘pen-pal’ writing club.
Organisers are hoping that it will start up some lovely friendships. “Some of our service users have not had a letter through the post in years,” said Carol from the Activities team at Rumbling Bridge. “We had great fun writing the letters and it triggered lots of memories and conversation.”
With the first letters proving a great success, Carol and Hope, from the Dalnaglar Activities team, are planning to continue to enable residents to write to each other regularly.
