Puppy Power at Balhousie Care Group

Who needs Scrappy-Doo and his puppy power, when Balhousie care homes have their own delectable doggies spreading the love?

We all know the furry fulfilment that comes from simply stroking our four-legged-friends. They bless us with company, relieve stress, encourage us to move and be more social: they bring better health to body and soul!

And this week, across a number of our homes, man – and woman’s – best friends have been dishing out great dollopfuls of affection.

Balhousie The Glens care home in Edzell had a visit from Paddy this week – lapping up all the love. Paddy is staff member, Linda’s dog and she often brings him in for the residents, who all know and love him, to enjoy. He’s such a regular at The Glens, they call him their wee mascot!

Meanwhile at Balhousie Pitlochry care home, residents got lots of snuggles with carer, Cammy’s wee terrier and at Balhousie Lisden care home in Kirriemuir, Tilly arrived with cuddles for all!

Bella, is an official therapet, neckerchief and all, and she is resuming her vital responsibilities at Balhousie Huntly care home in Aberdeenshire.

In the words of  Charles M Shultz, author of the Snoopy series, Peanuts: “Happiness is a warm puppy.”
