Staff at Balhousie Coupar Angus held a remembrance service for former resident Andrew Hogan on Monday 24th June.
Andrew had been a resident since December 2017. He had no close relatives or friends to arrange a funeral so staff decided to do it themselves.
Senior carer Chris Johnstone wrote a lovely eulogy and many residents and staff attended to share their memories of Andrew.
A huge thanks to Lorna, admin, for arranging everyone to attend, and also to chef Anne Marie for the beautiful high tea which was served. It was a send-off we know Andrew would have loved and one that residents appreciated being able to attend.
Home Manager Amanda Sword said: “This shows the caring and commitment of my staff and I know Andrew would have loved it. As they said when arranging it, ‘We were his family’.”
