The 14th of June is National Cupcake Day so what better way to celebrate but by baking and decorating our own. Residents Abb, Ina, Bobby and his wife Marion started the process with making the mix. Marion reminisced about how Bobby would help with the mixing at home when she used to bake for the family and Abb and Ina were only too excited to lick the spoon at the end, just like when they were little.
Ina and Abb chose the colour of the butter icing (green and red) and finished off decorating the cakes with plenty of sprinkles…I fear we will find these for days to come!! The residents all got to taste the cakes at afternoon cuppy and they went down a treat. Great work guys!
