Two of our residents, Eddie Shaw and John Walker, were playing balloon tennis in the lounge one afternoon this week. They soon tired of playing against each other and decided to challenge two of the staff members to a game. Tessa and Louise were both happy to take up the gauntlet, and a tough game ensued. The men were very nimble keeping the balloon up in the air and even put in a few headers and kicks, showing that their talent for football was still there. Louise was kept jumping around and running after the balloon. There was much laughter and shouts but in the end the men were very kind and conceded a draw. Both Eddie and John then enjoyed a welcome rest with a cuppa and cake.
