A resident at our Antiquary care home, Sandra Claybrook, has taken to crocheting blankets for the newborn babies at Arbroath Infirmary’s Community Maternity Unit.
Accompanied by Activities Coordinator Demi Kelbie, she dropped some of her handywork off this week.
Sandra said: “Crocheting has become my daily routine. As soon as I’ve had my breakfast in the morning, I get to it. I don’t even watch the telly! I was kindly donated a lot of my wool, so I wanted to return the kindness and donate the blankets that I have made to a great cause.”
Midwife Jade Robertson (pictured with Sandra) from the unit was there to happily receive the blankets.
What a lovely gesture! Demi and Sandra enjoyed a walk home in the sunshine to cap a perfect day.
