Blair Drummond Safari Park has fantastic offers available to care home residents, so when the leaflet came through from Oomph Wellness we knew it was a trip that we just had to organise.
Residents Sophie, Molly, Peggy, Mabel and Beryl were all excited about going on the trip. We enjoyed our journey on the bus and on arrival at the Safari Park, the bus driver Tony drove us around the animal enclosures where we saw many different animals including lions, monkeys and camels.
Once the bus was parked we all enjoyed a walk around the park to see the other animals. We also watched the fantastic sea lion show. We had our lunch in the lovely café where they offer a great deal for both residents and carers.
All the residents, along with staff members Amanda, Mags and Kaye, had a fantastic time. We are looking to arrange another trip later in the year so that more of our residents can share the experience.
