Strictly effect at Alastrean

Activities Coordinator, Victoria Smith, at Balhousie Alastrean care home in Tarland, has been put through her paces by two twinkled-toed residents who, in the immortal words of Gene Kelly, ‘Gotta dance!’

Determined dancers, Charlie and Rod, love to get up and moving at ceilidh’s so Victoria put on some Scottish music and they taught her how to waltz and dance the Gay Gordon’s properly. That’s the Strictly Spirit!

Above the fireplace, it says ‘To us, Alastrean means putting your arms around each other and being there’.

We think there’s no better way to to do that than in a dance!

Meanwhile at Balhousie St Ronan’s care home in Dundee, we’re heading for Boogie Wonderland and some seated shimmies! There’s no need to ask Where is The Love – it’s right there in the joy of dance.
