Balhousie resident watercolour painting

The run up to Christmas Day can be a little fraught, can’t it?

If you’re looking for some tips on activities to take some chill time, and remove the stress out of the rollercoaster of buying, wrapping, baking, cooking… two of our Highland Perthshire homes, Balhousie Stormont Lodge in Blairgowrie and Balhousie Dalnaglar in Crieff, can point the way.

At Stormont Lodge, residents, have been taking the gears down a few notches, taking time to get creative with watercolours, and at Dalnaglar, residents have been creating Christmas decorations, involving a little mindfulness through cross stitch.

And at Balhousie Coupar Angus too, residents have been relaxing while making Christmas creations in the form of gorgeous Christmas wreaths, while at Balhousie Brookfield in Carnoustie, they’ve taken the opportunity to support residents in reminiscing over Christmases from childhood or a favourite Christmas memory with family.

So, if you’re needing to jump off the festive merry-go-round just for a spell, getting creative could just be the answer to top up the batteries.
