Staff and residents of our Balhousie Wheatlands care home in Bonnybridge have been fans of Heather Bryson for a long time.

The 9-year-old fundraiser’s virtual exercise routines have made headlines and led to numerous awards since her Captain Tom Challenge last year. So when Heather agreed to pay a visit to Wheatlands in person, you can imagine the excitement!

Heather stopped by the home after her latest virtual event and it became a right royal affair, with residents and Heather celebrating the Platinum Jubilee.

Heather had more than 167 care facilities from all over the world join her live virtual exercise session a year ago as part of the Captain Tom Challenge. Balhousie’s North Grove care home was one of them.

This time, with the same aim of encouraging intergenerational work, The Scouts, RLSS UK and St Andrew’s First Aid also joined the virtual event and included crafts and activities as part of the fun. Monies raised through sponsorship have gone to Balhousie Wheatlands’ residents’ comfort fund, with £120 raised so far.

Well done Wheatlands and thank you Heather!
