Antiquary Care Home, Arbroath, is celebrating after their hugely successful annual summer fayre raised almost £600 to support the residents’ social and recreational activities programme.
Various activities and stalls, set up for residents and visitors to enjoy, included craftwork, cake and candy, tombola, jewellery, candles, artwork, books, a barbeque, glitter tattoos and more.
Fayre goers enjoyed burgers, hot dogs and cool drinks in the glorious sunshine and cuppies and cake in the tearoom, while the kids enjoyed the duck pool, sandpit and a treasure hunt.
Staff and residents are thrilled that the event raised so much money and convey their thanks to everyone involved. The proceeds will go towards Antiquary residents comfort fund which ensures residents have resources and access to a variety of leisure activities that provide many social benefits.
Antiquary activities coordinator Aileen said: “Our aim is to ensure that our residents have the best quality of life and events such as this are vital in order to finance the resources that provide our residents with a full and varied programme of activities.”
