Adult Nursing (RGN)
Residents living with multiple health conditions and frailty have complex health and social care needs, often requiring round-the-clock assistance. Many of our care homes offer the support and accommodation facilities of a residential home, plus the benefit of specialist 24-hour care from our qualified nurses. There is great training, with fantastic progression opportunities on offer.
Specialist Nursing (RMN/RNLD)
Some of our homes provide specialist nursing care and support to adults with learning disabilities, associated challenging behaviours and mental health needs. We also provide care and support at some of our homes to individuals with Autism.
We have two dedicated purpose-built units to meet the specific care needs of adults with Huntington’s Disease as they and their families adapt to the challenges associated with this hereditary disease.
Student Nurses
We work closely with Universities across Scotland to not only offer placements, but also access to long-term careers whilst you are still studying. We have nursing students working as part time Carers and Support Workers (including Senior in some cases), allowing for great pathways to seamlessly transition from care to nursing roles at Balhousie after completion of your nursing degree.
Equally, we welcome contact from student nurses keen on learning more and can interview and provisionally offer nursing jobs ahead of you receiving your NMC PIN!
We offer the same, highly competitive salary to newly graduated nurses as we do to someone with extensive industry experience.
