Balhousie Holdings Limited: Modern slavery and human trafficking statement 2021/22

This statement has been published in accordance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It sets out the steps taken by Balhousie Holdings Limited during its financial year ending 3o September 2021 to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains.

Our Business

Balhousie Holdings Limited is a provider of residential care and support services and, operates a number of care homes across Scotland. We also acquire land and develop properties that provide facilities required for residential care and support.

Our Supply chains

Our supply chains include goods and services required to provide residential care and support, services required for property development, services required for property maintenance, procurement of temporary/agency staff, essential utilities and waste management. The supply chains are largely based in the United Kingdom with some based in the Republic of Ireland.

Our Policies on Slavery and Human Trafficking

Balhousie Holdings Limited has a zero-tolerance stance on both modern slavery and human trafficking and are committed to ensuring that neither of these practices are present in our supply chains or within the Balhousie Holdings Group. Balhousie Holdings Limited is committed to acting ethically in all our business relationships and to execute effective procedures and controls that will prevent modern slavery and human trafficking taking place in our supply chains or within the company. Balhousie Holdings Limited will continue to take the appropriate action to ensure slavery and human trafficking are not present in our company or our supply chains.

This statement is made in accordance with section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes our slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year commencing 1 April 2020 and ending 31 March 2021.

Balhousie Holding’s senior management team have the general responsibilities for compliance to our legal responsibilities regarding Modern Slavery.
