From residential to respite, specialist to nursing care, our highly trained staff can meet your needs.

Adults with disabilities

Some of our homes provide specialist nursing care and support to adults with learning disabilities, associated challenging behaviours and mental health needs. We also provide care and support at some of our homes to individuals with Autism.

Alzheimers & Dementia

In the words of one of our Dementia Experts: “If you’ve met one person with dementia, you’ve met one person with dementia.” In other words, every person living with dementia is affected differently. At Balhousie Care our Dementia Champions are highly trained to understand and support the dementia needs of each individual, and develop a care plan accordingly.

Huntington’s Disease

We have two dedicated purpose-built units to meet the specific care needs of adults with Huntington’s Disease as they and their families adapt to the challenges associated with this hereditary disease. Located in Rumbling Bridge, Kinross-shire, they provide a spacious and therapeutic environment for up to 18 male and female residents.

Residential Care

Our residential care homes offer ongoing and consistent support for our residents’ everyday living needs in a comfortable, caring and safe environment. You can choose from newer, purpose-built homes to historic period properties, in a number of locations throughout Scotland.

Nursing Care

Our nursing homes provide qualified nursing care 24 hours a day. Whatever our residents’ needs – a physical disability, long-term medical condition or intensive rehabilitative care – we provide expert round-the-clock assistance.

End of Life Care

Our highly trained staff ensure dignified, sensitive and tender care and support for our residents and their families at this difficult and often emotional time. The teams we have in place bring just the right mix of skill and compassion to palliative and end of life care.

Respite Care

Caring for a loved one can be challenging and tiring – everybody needs some time-off to recharge. Our respite facilities and highly trained staff allow you to relax knowing your loved one is happy, safe and cared for. We offer both planned and emergency respite care.
