Balhousie Care Group showed its support for the LGBT community in Scotland by attending Dundee Pride – raising vital funds for charity in the process.

As part of its commitment to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion, the Perth-based care provider held a stall at the event over the weekend.

Staff attended both days of the celebration in the City of Discovery, showcasing the company’s mission to promote inclusivity, with plenty of goodies and, of course, chocolate on offer. Team member, Patricia Record, brought along her face-painting skills to delight all ages.

And a tombola was also held to raise money for LGBT Youth Scotland, the national charity for LGBTI young people, raising over £250.

Karen Johnson, Interim Managing Director, said: “We had a wonderful weekend at Dundee Pride. It was amazing to see so many people stop by to say hello on Saturday and Sunday.

“Having a presence at events like Dundee Pride is so important to Balhousie Care Group. We are an employer of around 1,500 people across Scotland, and it is vital every single person feels valued and represented.

“It was also great to be able to do our bit to raise funds for LGBT Youth Scotland, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who chipped in to help us raise money for the charity’s crucial work across the country.

“Our commitment to true equality and inclusivity is unwavering, and we will always do our utmost to represent everyone equally and proudly.”
