Here at Balhousie Care, our staff are known for going the extra mile for the residents.
But the team at Lisden have taken that literally by organising a sponsored walk!
No fewer than 12 of our Everyday Heroes will walk 15 miles on July 1 to raise money for the residents’ comfort fund.
Starting out at the Glen Clova Hotel, and using just the power of their own two feet, the intrepid group will make their way back to the Kirriemuir home for a well-earned rest.
Organised by Brenda Coutts, Activities Coordinator, she initially started out with three willing volunteers – but inspired by their colleagues, nine more signed up.
“Although we started out with only three of us, the other staff members were really keen to join in and raise money,” Brenda said.
“We decided to end the walk at Lisden so the residents could feel involved too. Hopefully they will be cheering us on as we walk down the driveway!”
Friends and relatives have already been generously donating, and sponsor sheets are available from the home for anyone wishing to donate.
