After months of planning, painting commenced of the cupboard that would hold our new Candy Shoppe.

Our Balhousie handyman and painter were always willing to offer advice. After discussing with the residents it was decided a nice beach scene would be good so the colours chosen were blue, pink and yellow for the shelves. The door was a bit more creative – painted to look like a window looking out over the seaside.

There was much head scratching among carers and residents over the name, until Luncarty Candy Shoppe was chosen. The shop was officially opened on the 24/04/19 with Lynn the manager  there to officiate the opening.

But the honour of cutting the ribbon went to resident Rena, with Eddie close by to lend a hand.

Already the shop has been very popular been used by residents and carers.
