Pitlochry School Competition winners

It’s been prize-giving day at Balhousie Pitlochry this week.

Following the success of their the Tattie Bogle trail entry, Balhousie Pitlochry set up a Halloween colouring competition for the local children. It started last year, when staff at the care home recognised that, due to Covid restrictions, the children of the Highland Perthshire town had nothing to enjoy or get involved with, for Halloween. And so their colouring competition was born. It was such a great success, it was set up for the children to take part in this year too.

Administrator at Pitlochry, Shone Hutchcox said, “We are delighted that our Halloween colouring competition has been another huge success! Congratulations to Daphne Chaplin-Rollo winning 1st Prize, while 2nd Prize went to Leo McPhee, then 3rd Prize to Eilish Middlemas. Our residents thought these were the best three entries, but on a whole thought they were all brilliant! Thank you to all the boys and girls who took part.”

The community-conscious Balhousie care home is now in talks with Pitlochry High School once more, this time to get the older half of the primary years to design their Christmas card.

We can’t wait to see their festive creations!
