Clement Park Home Manager, Cheryl Roy, has been busy inspiring the next generation of care workers.

Cheryl, who has been with Balhousie for more than 13 years, was invited by Dundee City Council’s employability service to speak to students looking to explore a career in the sector.

The class was part of an intensive two-week course on the fundamentals of care, where she shared some of her skills and experience with the students.

After organising a workshop for the students, Cheryl also spoke about her role with Balhousie and chaired a round-table Q&A session.

Following the class, Cheryl said: “It was fantastic to spend time with the students, who were so enthusiastic about working in care. They were really keen to learn more about what it is like to work in the sector.

“We had a great discussion, and everyone learned a lot from it. It was a pleasure to share some experience with the students, and some of them have already expressed an interest in working with Balhousie in the future.”
